700 Days of Metzingen – Obscura Camera Mapping
A project with 100 pinhole cameras at various locations in and around Metzingen. The project is designed as an art and participation action and takes place within the framework of the international project that has been running since 2012 under the title: “The 7th Day”. The cameras will be set up at various locations in and around Metzingen and then exposure will begin. The exposure time is 7 days. The location of the camera will be recorded via a GPRS system. After these 7 days, the cameras are to be given to the public library. Here, the exposed original will be digitised by Przemek Zajfert and added to the edition – with a short text, history of the location or reason for the choice of the installation site. A special map of Metzingen is created from the images. In the Kreissparkasse in Metzingen in spring 2017, an exhibition will show this map as well as the resulting pictures.
